Welcome to Property Review from Alan Seward Financial Solutions – our round up of recent activity in the UK housing market.
We start this month with some good news … according to the National Association of Estate Agents, the average number of people registering to look for a new home has risen to 308 per branch (up from 304 on the previous month) and the mean number of houses for sale per branch is up from 65 to 72. However, financing a new home can still be tricky for some people, which is why we offer a specialist mortgage service to help your clients secure the funds they need. Continuing the good news, UK property prices rose 0.4% in October, taking house price growth into positive territory for the first time in six months. Experts are still reporting that the housing market is ‘treading water’ but a more accurate picture is of a country divided by increasing prices in affluent areas and falling values in harder pressed regions. Of course, here in Bath we’ve seen prices rise by around 3% since the recession, a trend that looks likely to continue. "Bath is a sound place to invest in property" Speaking about this, Alan Seward said, “For those relocating from London, Bath is an excellent area to consider as not only is this a wonderful place in which to live, the housing market here is fairly buoyant meaning it’s a sound place to invest in property.” We can help your clients get the very best mortgage for their situation and can usually offer far better packages than those to be found on the high street. We also specialise in finding mortgages for people traditionally turned away by other lenders. Get in touch now to find out more or call Paul Adams on 01225 44 88 32 for specialist financial advice.
